Case Studies - Healthcare - Operating Rooms Efficiency

Project Description: Participated in a presentation to provide more efficient utilization of operating rooms and staff through the use of problem solving and culture change management.

Objective was to improve scheduling; reduce room turn over time; increase surgeons, staff and patients’ overall satisfaction.

Methodology:

Problem solving process involved a combination of 8-D and PDCA methodology
Utilized: Assessment, VSM, Process Flow, Brainstorming, Cause and Effect, Control Charts, Metrics for Management Reviews
Culture Change Management focused on building a culture that engages the entire organization and creates ownership for all
Culture change management involved Leadership, T.E.A.M., Lighthouse
